UPDATE: Route 6/202 Reopens after AM Crash
RR ties all over the highway closed the road between the Bear Mountain Bridge and Annsville Circle.

UPDATE: The New York state Department of Transportation announced at 5:26 p.m. that all lanes are open on Route 202/6.
The road had been closed since 9:20 a.m. after a crash involving two cars and a tractor-trailer.

UPDATE: Three vehicles were involved in the Monday morning accident that shut down Route 202/6 between Route 9 and Route 9D all morning, a state police spokeswoman said.
Trooper Melissa McMorris said the tractor-trailer was carrying a load of railroad ties, which spilled—necessitating the lengthy closure for cleanup.

Only one of the drivers was injured, and that was minor, she said.

New York state transportation officials recommend this detour:
- Westbound = US Hwy 9 to State Hwy 403 to State Hwy 9D
- Eastbound = State Hwy 9D to State Hwy 403 to US Hwy 9.
At approximately 9 a.m., New York State Police from the Cortlandt Barracks were dispatched to investigate a rollover collision involving a tractor-trailer in the Town of Cortlandt.
As a result, Route 6 will be closed from the Bear Mountain Bridge to the Annsville Circle until further notice, state police said.
NYDOT said Route 202 between NY-9D & US-9, which closed at 9:20am due to the crash, would be closed for up to four hours.
