Van Cortlandtville ES Educational Garden Flower Harvest

Once again the students and staff at Van Cortlandtville Elementary School were able to celebrate ‘harvest’ time in their Educational Garden. Students from all grade levels had planted the seeds in their classrooms in the spring and then transplanted the young plants to the garden the first week in June. The students were then able to see their seeds fully grown in flower garden this week (Sept. 24).

All morning on September 24, the students clipped flowers with the help of parent volunteers and teachers. The parent volunteers collected them and turned them into bouquets that were shared with the main office and were on sale as a fund raiser at Back to School Night.
