Verplanck Man Charged with Identity Theft
State police in Cortlandt say he cashed someone else's check.

Robert W. Kilichowski of Verplanck, N.Y. is facing a felony charge of identity theft.
New York State Police say they began an investigation Aug. 1, after receiving a report from a victim that somebody had cashed a check that was made out to him in the amount of $4,492.83.
Police allege Kilichowski signed the victim’s name and deposited the money into his own bank account.
Kilichowski, 56, was arrested Sept. 15; arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and released without bail. He is due to return to town court on Sept. 29.
