The New York State Police announce the arrest of Dwayne Rodriguez, 36, of Mohegan Lake, following an investigation into an Order of Protection violation.
Rodriguez was located at an address in Mohegan Lake. His presence there violated an Order of Protection issued in a previous criminal case in Yonkers.
When troopers approached, Rodriguez jumped out a rear window and attempted to flee, but was quickly taken into custody. He then tried to use a fake name to avoid arrest.
He was charged with one count of First Degree Criminal Contempt, a Class "E" Felony, and arraigned in Cortlandt town Court. He was sent to the Westchester County Jail on $25,000 bail and is due back in Town Court June 6.
Additional charges are expected to be filed against Rodriguez for another Order of Protection violation which had occurred earlier in the day, also in Cortlandt.
