Walter Panas Warriors Honored By NY State
The Walter Panas High School Warriors were honored at the "What's Great in Our State" forum on May 8th.

PEEKSKILL-CORTLANDT, NY - From Lakeland Central School District: Congratulations to the Walter Panas High School Warriors on being honored by New York State Office of Mental Health on Tuesday (May 8) in Albany at the "What's Great in Our State" forum. According to the organizers, the program was selected for "successfully addressing the issues of children’s mental health."
Walter Panas Guidance Counselor Melissa Smith, advisor to the Warr;ors, was joined by four members of the club in receiving the award held at the New York State Museum in Albany.
They were among five programs and two individuals selected from throughout New York State to be honored. They also received a certificate of honor from the Town of Cortlandt in recognition of their efforts in mental health awareness.
