Winners Announced for Volunteer New York! 36th Annual Spirit Awards
Local Putnam Valley resident among 8 other individuals to be awarded.
Local resident of Putnam Valley, Dr. Susan D. Croll, wins Education and Literacy Award from Volunteer New York’s 2016 Volunteer Spirit Awards for her work at the Westchester Science & Engineering Fair. Susan and 8 other individuals and groups will be given recognition for having gone above and beyond in donating their time and talent to volunteer activities that strengthen our region.
This award, presented by Clarfeld Financial Advisors, honors volunteers dedicated to education and literacy through activities including, but not limited to, tutoring, adult literacy, library-based initiatives, early childhood education, and intergenerational programs.
“These awards bring our volunteer, non-profit and for-profit partners closer together, while highlighting how important volunteer services is to keeping Westchester and our surrounding areas strong, resilient and thriving,” said Alisa H. Kesten, Volunteer New York! Executive Director.
