Meli T from Manhattan says: “I was in town last weekend when visiting family. We stopped in O’Connors for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were offered to sit at a table or at the bar. I ordered a California Wrap and a mixed drink. What a pleasant surprise that the food and drinks were delicious.
I am not big on giving pubs 5 stars, but this place is a diamond in the rough. The place was clean and welcoming. TVs were on, but music was playing at a level that was not interfering conversation. The menu may not have been extensive, but the food selection is diverse and the food is great! There is also a board with chef’s specials that has a great variety of meals.”

Murphy’s, 355 Kear St., Yorktown Heights | 3 stars

Eddie D. from Cortlandt says, “I enjoy Murphy’s. We just moved up to the area and I like coming here for games (will check them out during the NFL season especially). Food is good not great but we Irish aren’t known for our culinary prowess. They need a good Irish band every now and then too. Great place to hang.”

Jimmy’s, 156 Bedford Road, Katonah | 5 stars

John D. from Liverpool, NY says, “The chili is the best I have ever had.... and I have had it many many times. The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. The patrons provide a wide mix and are very entertaining. It is a place for “regulars”, and you will want to be a regular!”

O’Grady’s Public House, 1927 Commerce St, Yorktown Heights | 3.5 stars

Robin J. from Lake Peekskill says, “We discovered this place a few weeks ago, and boy am I glad that we did. The food was excellent, and well portioned, the service was prompt and efficient, and the atmosphere beautiful, with wood throughout. They have a VIP email club and send you specials just about every day.”

The Quiet Man Public House, 15 N Division St, Peekskill | 4.5 stars

Jacquelyn R. from Shrub Oak says, “Really good irish food. Try the irish nachos, shepards pie, fish n chips and the lamb burger. The soups are pretty good too. The drinks are fine. Good tap beers. Nice outdoor dining in back. Friendly and attentive staff. Similar prices to area diners so go here instead. Good bar if you’re out for drinks.”

Brodie’s Pub, 3262 E Main St, Mohegan Lake | 4 stars

Gina H. from New York says, “I have been coming here since from before I was born with my family and friends and I Consider two of the waitresses to be family and they are known for their burgers especially the Brodie burger the theme of the restaurant is the Irish culture and some of the food is Irish too but it’s mostly like the kind of thing you could get at a diner the food I got was perfect.”

Thirsty Scholar, 472 Bedford Rd, Pleasantville | 4 stars

Andrew S. from North White Plains says, “Excellent bar-Went there for the first time day before Thanksgiving and could not have been happier. Friendly bartenders with great accents-they are actually from Ireland! Nicely decorated and a good vibe-prices not too bad either-they have another bar in NYC as well.”

Tom & Jerry’s Bar & Grill, 987 Route 6, Brewster | 3.5 stars

Kyle H. from Brooklyn says, “Fortunately, one of the best things about visiting my parents back in the burbs, is that there are tons of wonderful old Irish Pubs just DYING to serve you housemade pot pies and pints of Guiness. Tom and Jerry’s is one of these places.”

Kelly’s Corner, 1625 Rt 22, Brewster | 3.5 stars

Matt K. from New York, NY says, “Kelly’s Corner is locally known for everything on the menu. Their wings are so delicious that they unfortunately hide the true gems KC offers like their burgers, buffalo chicken wraps, and Irish born beef stew in a bread bowl. ”

McCarthy Family Eatery, 374 Rt 52, Carmel | 2.5 stars

Taylor Q. from Pawling NY says, “Not sure what happened to this place. What used to be a wonderful place to visit with friendly staff and consistently good food has been a major disappointment in most recent months.”
