Police: Thief Swipes Games From Pelham Manor Store

A crowded store gave thief opportunity.

 

A Pelham Manor store clerk was unable to prevent a recent theft during his shift at a busy store on the 800 block of Pelham Parkway.

The clerk told Pelham Manor police that the store was very busy on Sunday, March 3 with customers. Sometime during the day, a customer was able to pick open a locked case and take several Nintendo DS computer games including Mario and Luigi X8 and Sonic-Mario Kart X. The loss totalled $1,217.42.

The employee did not discover the theft until he was closing the store that evening and could not give a detailed description of the alleged thief.
