10 People, Children Escape Bethpage House Fire: FD

BETHPAGE, NY — Seven adults and three children were displaced from their home in Bethpage after a house fire on Friday, fire marshals said.

The Bethpage Fire Department responded to a three-story home on Ellen Street after receiving a house fire call at 3:46 p.m., the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said.

Approximately 50 firefighters brought the fire under control within 20 minutes, and no injuries were reported, fire marshals said. Red Cross was notified for the displaced individuals, fire marshals said.

Mutual aid was provided by Farmingdale, Syosset, Wantagh, Levittown, and Hicksville, all under the command of Chief Trimarco, fire officials said.

According to fire marshals, the NCPD's Office and the NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad are investigating the fire.
