2 Accused of Stealing iPhones

Police say Hicksville store was hit by theft.

Two men were charged Wednesday after police said they stole two iPhones from a store in Hicksville.

Nassau County police eight squad gave this account:
 Jonathan Dixon 27, of 236 Parkway Boulevard, Wyandanch and Michael Hayden 21, of Andrews Avenue, Roosevelt entered the Verizon Wireless store at 756 South Broadway and asked for information  about iPhones.

When the employee stepped away from the counter the defendants broke the glass display case and removed two phones. The defendants fled the store and were stopped a short time later by a Second Precinct police officer on entrance ramp of the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway and arrested.

They are charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and third degree criminal mischief. They were arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
