2 Tractor-Trailers Collide On LIE Early Thursday Morning: Police
NCPD says the NYSDEC responded to the fuel spill.
PLAINVIEW, NY — Two tractor-trailers collided on the Long Island Expressway in Plainview early Thursday morning, police said.
Nassau County police said a 2014 tractor-trailer operated by a 50-year-old man was parked eastbound on the LIE near exit 48 when a 2000 tractor-trailer traveling eastbound, driven by a 57-year-old man, collided with his vehicle before hitting the center median. This occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. on May 7, police said.
There were no injuries reported at the scene, police said.

The Department of Transportation and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation responded to a fuel spill, and the motor carrier was on scene, NCPD said.
NCPD said all lanes are blocked and advises drivers to use an alternate route.
