32-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Expressway Crash: Police

The man's truck struck a guardrail and he was ejected from the vehicle in Plainview, police said.

PLAINVIEW, NY — A man was killed in a weekend crash on the Long Island Expressway, according to Nassau County police.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Saturday just east of Exit 46 in Plainview, police said. A 32-year-old man was driving a 1997 Chevrolet pickup west on the expressway when his truck veered off the road and hit a guardrail, ejecting the driver, according to police.

The man was pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
