Boy, 13, Airlifted To Hospital After Being Struck By Tesla While Riding Bike: PD

BETHPAGE, NY — A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital after he was struck while riding his bike in Bethpage on Friday afternoon, police said.

Nassau County police said officers responded to Farmers Avenue near Stewart Avenue for a crash and determined that on May 1 at 4:30 p.m., a teenager was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a 2022 Tesla driven by a 35-year-old man.

The teenager was airlifted by an NCPD helicopter to a hospital for evaluation and treatment, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

The 35-year-old driver remained at the scene, and no other injuries were reported, police said.
