• Plainview-Old Bethpage sees slight dip in English Language Arts proficiency scores (longislandpress.com) — Plainview-Old Bethpage school leaders report a slight drop in grades 3–8 English Language Arts proficiency, though scores remain above regional averages and high school Regents results are strong. Superintendent Mary O'Meara highlighted rising Advanced Placement participation and success, and said a new strategic plan for the district will be unveiled at the Dec. 7 board meeting.
