Sayville Man Dies After Vehicle Crashes Into Bethpage Fire Department: PD

BETHPAGE, NY — A Sayville man died after his vehicle struck the Bethpage Fire Department on Wednesday morning, police said.

Michael Peattie, 41, was driving a 2024 Mazda eastbound on Stewart Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and then struck the Bethpage Fire Department Station 4 at 10:23 a.m., Nassau County police said.

He suffered severe trauma and was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said.

According to police, the investigation is ongoing.
