• A time to share stories (livinglutheran.org) — A 9/11 remembrance service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plainview brought together 75 Metropolitan New York Synod members to share stories of loss and healing. Local congregants, including first-responder families, reflected on loved ones lost and the long-term health impacts, while church leaders emphasized community support, faith, and kindness in the face of ongoing grief.
