Annual Heart and Sole 5k Raises $30K for Plainview, Syosset Hospitals

The Heart & Sole 5K in Plainview recently helped raise approximately $30,000 to benefit both Plainview and Syosset hospitals.

About 400 people came out to support the race and ran 3.1 miles through the streets of Plainview on Sunday morning.

This year’s race honoree was Legislator Judy Jacobs, who also serves as director of community relations at Northwell Health.

“We appreciate all the people who came out to participate in the day’s 5K walk/run and children’s fun run,” said Alan Mensch, MD, senior vice president of medical affairs at Plainview and Syosset hospitals and the race’s organizer. “It has been a great opportunity for 13 years for people and families to get out there, exercise and have some fun.”
