Bus, Jeep Collide In Nassau; 1 Victim Airlifted To Hospital: Police

PLAINVIEW, NY — A serious accident in Plainview left one person badly injured.
It happened just after 4 p.m. Thursday on Express Street.
A 2020 Chevrolet mini school bus, driven by a 64-year-old woman was making a U-turn when the 29-year-old male driver of a 2018 Jeep Cherokee tried to pass.

The front end of the bus struck the passenger rear end causing the Jeep to overturn and roll down the street, police said.
The driver of the Jeep suffered multiple serious trauma injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital.

The bus driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was not injured.
Police are investigating.
