Get creative this spring at the Mid-Island Y JCC with a hands-on Fused Glass Mini Lantern workshop designed for beginners.
Starting Tuesday, May 12, this two-session class (May 12 & May 19, 6:30–8:30 p.m.) introduces participants to the art of fused glass. Guided by artist Kelly Schulte-Smith, attendees will learn how glass transforms when fired at high temperatures in a kiln while creating their own decorative mini lantern.
All materials are included, and no prior experience is needed. Finished projects will be available for pickup at a later date after kiln firing.
The program is open to adults 18 and older. Cost is $110 for non-members, with a discounted rate of $95 for members.
