The Mid Island Y JCC is inviting Early Childhood families and members of the community to support The Crayon Initiative, a nonprofit organization that collects, recycles, and remanufactures used crayons for children’s hospitals across the country.
Community members are encouraged to donate used, broken, or unwanted crayons of any color or condition. The recycled crayons are transformed into vibrant new crayons and distributed to children’s hospitals in all 50 states, helping bring creativity, comfort, and joy to young patients.

Collection bins will be located in the Early Childhood wing and the main lobby of the MIYJCC.
