Adult children caring for aging parents are invited to join the Manes JCC, formerly the Mid Island Y JCC, for an evening of connection, support and practical guidance.
The evening will begin with “Whine” & Cheese at 5:45 p.m., offering light refreshments and an opportunity to connect with other adult children caregivers. At 6 p.m., Lori Hardoon, LCSW and Maria Lever, LCSW of Guiding Hearts Helping Hands will lead “Supporting the Care Journey,” helping families better understand practical steps for navigating their parents’ care, strengthening advocacy and honoring what matters most to their loved ones.
The evening will conclude with Cookies & Conversation at 7 p.m., giving participants an opportunity to debrief, share experiences and connect with fellow caregivers.
This program is offered at no cost, but pre-registration is required.
