Cops: Paramedics Talk Mother Through Reviving Son Who OD'd
Mother found son unresponsive after an apparent heroin overdose, cops said.

Paramedics talked a Hicksville mother through reviving her son with Narcan after he overdosed on heroin, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said the woman called 911 at 7:36 a.m. Sunday and said her 19-year-old son was not breathing because he had overdosed. She told police she owned a Narcan Rescue kit but was not able to assemble it.
A paramedic from Nassau County Medical Control talked the woman through assembling the kit and administering the antidote, cops said.

Paramedics arrived at the scene at 7:41 a.m. and administered a second dose of Narcan to the victim, police said.
The victim regained consciousness and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
