Cops: Plainview Man Busted for Coin Galleries of Oyster Bay Robbery
The man, who wore a skeleton-type mask at the time of the robbery, was arrested outside his home, and in possession of heroin, police say.

Nassau police officers said Monday that they arrested a man who wore a skeleton type mask, and armed with knife, robbed the Plainview location of Coin Galleries of Oyster Bay on Friday, Oct. 24.
Police say Richard Borsman, 38, of Plainview, is scheduled for arraignment Monday for the robbery. Borsman was located outside his home, and arrested without incident.
At the time of his arrest, Borsman was in possession of heroin, police said.

According to detectives, Borsman had entered the Coin Galleries at 1056 Old Country Road, next to ShopRite, and demanded money from the store’s register at 12:45 p.m. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, Borsman fled the store.
Borsman is charged with first degree robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Borsman is to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
