Detective Charged With Setting Husband's Clothes On Fire: Report
The NYPD detective allegedly set her husband's clothes on fire because she suspected the Nassau Police officer was having an affair.

PLAINVIEW, NY - A NYPD detective was arrested at her Plainview home for allegedly setting her husband's clothes on fire, according to a report in the New York Post.
Marissa Sorocco, 37, was arrested Tuesday on charges of fifth-degree arson and criminal mischief, according to court records.
The New York Post reported that Sorocco — who works in NYPD Deputy Commissioner Dermot Shea’s office — was caught at home setting fire to the clothes of her husband Paul, a Nassau County police officer, because she believed he was having an affair.

Suspended from her NYPD job pending the outcome of the court case, Sorocco was released on her recognizance after her arraignment Wednesday. She is due back in court Jan. 8.
