The library is hosting the Long Island Reads Athor Event. They welcome back Alyson Richman to discuss her book, The Lost Wife. This heartwrenching story of a love affair begun in pre-war WWII Prague, is not just the story of a sixty-year love affair, but also an exploration of the power of the artistic spirit, even under the most horrific conditions.
Richman, who spoke there in 2008, is a captivating speaker and does meticulous research for her historical novels. She traveled to the Terezin ghetto to conduct research for this book that has been called "the Sophie's Choice of this generation."
The event is open to all; no tickets required.
