Firefighters Rescue Kid's Finger Stuck in Vending Machine in Plainview
Not your regular vending machine mishap.

Inserting four quarters into a vending machine and waiting for your snack to fall to the bottom is an intense moment. A few unlucky times, your change is wasted when the snack refuses to move from its spot. It’s a sad time in the life of a hungry kid.
But one kid in Plainview had it a little worse than the regular vending machine mishap on Thursday.
He got his finger stuck in the vending machine.

It was so stuck that the Plainview Fire Department had to come and help free his finger.
The kid remained calm throughout the chaos and the firefighters were able to get his finger out quickly and safely, the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department wrote on Facebook.

He escaped and was able to go free with an intact finger and just a minor injury.
Chief Robert Salerno, Rescue 7, and ambulances 9529,9549 responded to the scene. Units were under the command of Chief Bassetta.
