First Place Musician at Mattlin

H.B Mattlin Middle School Eighth Grade Student Minjee Kim Recognized for Musical Talents

H.B. Mattlin Middle School student musician Minjee Kim of the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District recently received first place from American Protégé’s International Music Competition. Minjee competed with student applicants from all over the world ages eight to sixteen and received the highest honor for her skill. Minjee is an eight grade student who plays the flute. In addition to her first place recognition, Minjee received a cash prize and was invited to perform in a Winner’s Recital during which she was joined by music teacher David Hirsch.
