HANC Holds Student Art Show

The Hebrew Academy of Nassau County hosted HANC Plainview’s Spring Arts Festival on Tuesday.

The event showcased the student's artwork. Students in grades 5-6 served as in-house musicians, performing an array of musical pieces, and assisted the guests as museum docents, guiding patrons through various works. They also served the crowd with trays of hors d’oeuvres.

Students in grade 4 created an "ART-cheological dig," a fresh concept that involves interactive, hands-on art related activities. Artwork from grades 1-6 was featured along with descriptions of their masterpieces. Furthermore, every student created a piece of art inspired by the amazing work of famed Israeli artist David Gerstein

“Both developing and fostering our students’ relationship with the arts is an important responsibility that we at HANC hold dear," Admission Director Yaffa Tilles  said. "Putting on events such as HANC Plainview’s Spring Arts Festival helps build that connection."

She added, "We are so proud of our students' accomplishments!”
