Hawks Are Back: Plainview-Old Bethpage Students Return To School
Students returned Sept. 2 for the start of the 2026-27 school year, bringing backpacks, school supplies, and plenty of excitement.
PLAINVIEW, NY — Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District students returned to classes on Sep. 2, marking the beginning of another year as Hawks.
Students carried their school supplies, backpacks, and excitement as they filled buses and hallways for the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
"There is a wonderful sense of possibility at the start of school, and I am confident our students will make the most of the opportunities ahead," Superintendent of Schools Mary O'Meara said. "I look forward to seeing all they accomplish and to celebrating their success throughout the year."
