LONG ISLAND'S LARGEST FOOD DRIVE EVENT: 7th Annual Bethpage Turkey Drive to Benefit Island Harvest Wednesday, November 18 7 am to 6 pm

WHAT:
Long Island’s largest food drive event, the 7th Annual Bethpage Turkey Drive to benefit Island Harvest, will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 7 AM to 6 PM at Bethpage’s main branch located at 899 South Oyster Bay Road in Bethpage.
Long Islanders are asked to donate frozen turkeys, non-perishable food items or cash donations. These donations will go directly to Island Harvest which will then help supply Thanksgiving holiday meals to the current 300,000 hungry Long Islanders through its distribution to 570 food pantries and agencies on Long Island.
“Each holiday season, families look for ways to help those who are less fortunate. Participation in the Bethpage Turkey Drive provides parents and children the opportunity to help a less fortunate family celebrate the holidays with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal – a meal they may have otherwise not have been able to provide,” said Linda Armyn, Senior Vice President, Bethpage. “The Bethpage Turkey Drive has grown to become an annual Thanksgiving tradition on Long Island thanks to the supporting communities who year after year come out to help their neighbors in need.”
