Man Charged in Multiple Nassau County Burglaries
He was caught burglarizing a home Tuesday, police say.
A North Bellmore man was arrested in Bethpage on Tuesday for burglarizing several Nassau County homes over the past month, according to Nassau Police.
Police received a call for a burglary in progress at a home on Broadway in Bethpage.
Upon arrival, officers found 23-year-old Brian Tierney and placed him under arrest without incident, police said.

An investigation revealed that Tierney was responsible for the following additional residential burglaries:
- Tuesday, Dec. 27 at a Lilac Place home in Massapequa - rear kitchen window - loss of personal papers and documents
- Friday, Dec. 16 at a Thorens Avenue home in Garden City Park - rear window - loss of assorted jewelry
- Monday, Dec. 5 at a Commonwealth Avenue home in Massapequa - rear bedroom window - assorted jewelry, personal property and cash
The investigation is ongoing.

Tierney is charged with four counts of second degree burglary, police said. He will be arraigned on Wednesday.
