Man Robs Old Bethpage 7-Eleven at Knifepoint

This is the third knifepoint robbery to occur in the area this month.

Police are looking to identify the man who robbed an Old Bethpage 7-Eleven at knifepoint early Thursday.

According to authorities, a man armed with a large kitchen knife entered 7-Eleven, located at 758 Old Bethpage Road, and demanded money from the employee at the counter at 12:30 a.m.

The employee complied and the robber fled on foot northbound on Old Bethpage Road with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The employee was the only person in the store at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

Police described the robber as black, about 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds, and wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark hat, dark sunglasses, a dark bandanna covering his face, dark gloves and baggy blue jeans.

This is the third knifepoint robbery to occur in the area this month and the second one this week.
