Mattlin Get Well Cards for LIJ

The Afterschool Group Starts Schoolwide Volunteer Effort

The Afterschool Group (TAG) at H.B. Mattlin Middle School recently volunteered to create get well cards for patients at North Shore LIJ Plainview Hospital. Together, the students created many cards, but were inspired to do even more for the patients. The club opened up the project to the entire school, inviting every student in the building to create a special get well card. The students collected over 200 cards for the hospital while learning a valuable lesson in the small actions they can take to make a positive difference.
