Plainview Artist Featured in Chesea Gallery

The original work of Stuart Burton, a Plainview resident, is featured now at Chelsea’s Agora Gallery.

An American artist, Burton incorporates bold colors and dynamic forms to interpret the narrative texts of the Jewish Bible, according to the gallery.

“The goal isn’t really to find set answers, but rather to delve deeper into the subject in order to find new questions that push past boundaries,” Burton said, in a statement.

Burton’s inspirations include ”a lifelong curiosity about how people interweave the myths and realities of the world around them into their lives,” according to the gallery.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Stuart Burton still lives and works in New York. A student of Ad Reinhardt, he has exhibited work throughout the city.

The gallery is located at 530 West 25 Street in New York.
