PLAINVIEW, NY — Two people were hurt in a collision Monday morning on the northbound lanes of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway in Plainview, near the Northern State Parkway entrance. The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Monday, officials told Patch.

Two of the three lanes were blocked, leading to a two-mile traffic jam. Two people were taken to hospitals and were expected to survive.

Plainview and Syosset fire departments rushed to the scene of the crash. Their assistance was not needed.
