Plainview Hawks Little League Baseball Makes History
Congratulations on becoming New York State runner-ups!

The Plainview Hawks Little League Baseball Team were named the second best baseball team in the entire state of New York after they became the runner-up of the New York State Williamsport Finals in Rochester.
The Hawks, ages 9 and 10, went 7-0 in the district level and 4-0 in the sectional level to earn their way to Rochester.
The final eight sectional winners battled it out during the finals.

In their first round in Rochester, Plainview beat Merrick by a score of 14-9 to unofficially become the best team on Long Island, which is the first time this happened in the 61 years of Plainview Little League.
The Hawks went on to beat Plattsburg 5-4 and Orchard Park 19-9 and faced off with Great Kills, Staten Island for the New York State Championship.

Although the Hawks lost 14-7 in the finals, they boys made the community proud with their record-setting season.
