Plainview Middle School Deemed Safe, After Closure Due To Threat: Cops

The threat came to Nassau police's attention just before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, authorities said.

PLAINVIEW, NY — Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School received a threat, causing an evacuation on Wednesday afternoon.

Nassau police confirm the school was deemed safe after a sweep of the Central Park Road building.

According to the report, a message sent to parents indicated the threat was not connected to the Israel-Hamas war, News 12 said.

Students and teachers moved to Mattlin Middle School, while police conducted the search.
