Plainview-Old Bethpage Band Performs in Marching Band Festival

Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s John F. Kennedy High School Marching Band recently performed at the 52nd annual Newsday Marching Band Festival at the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, NY.

The John F. Kennedy High School Marching Band performance was titled, “Punk, Funk and Spunk,” which incorporated medleys from Elvis Presley’s, “Burning Love” and “C.C. Rider,” Josef Zawinul’s, “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,” and Fall Out Boy’s, “Thanks For The Memories.”

The festival gives high school marching bands across Long Island the opportunity to showcase their halftime shows, which are usually performed during their respective school’s football games.
