Plainview-Old Bethpage Kindergarten Students Make Apple Cider
Students at the Kindergarten Center learn the history of apple cider and make a fresh batch

Submitted by Plainview Schools
Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s Kindergarten Center was recently paid a visit by Nassau BOCES to learn all about the history of apple cider and apples. Students learned how apple cider was originally made and some alternative uses for apples years ago. Students used an apple press to create their own batch of apple cider, and were then treated to a pasteurized version. Students also participated in other apple-related activities such as voting for their favorite way to eat an apple.
