Plainview-Old Bethpage Prepares to Soar to New Heights!

Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District Welcomes Students Back for the 2021-2022 School Year

PLAINVIEW, NEW YORK — Students in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District were welcomed back to their classrooms last week for full-time, in-person learning. Each school eagerly opened its doors to greet returning and new students on the first day of the 2021-2022 school year. Students had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and form new friendships as they navigated the halls and met their new classmates.

“The effort that was put into preparing for our reopening was evident in the successful first days we had at each of our schools,” said Dr. Mary O’Meara, Superintendent of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. “It was wonderful welcoming our students back into our classrooms, and we were thrilled to see how excited our students were to begin this new school year.”

The District adopted the theme Soaring to New Heights for the 2021-2022 school year and will focus on the importance of connectedness, providing students opportunities to connect with peers, staff, and their school, while continuing to identify and meet each student's academic, social-emotional, and physical needs. This year’s theme is all about discovering that when students and staff support each other, the sky is the limit.
