Plainview-Old Bethpage School Budget Passes
The Plainview-Old Bethpage school budget passed, while Seth Greenberg, Susan Stewart and Tara Rock won the school board election.

PLAINVIEW, NY--Plainview-Old Bethpage School District voters approved a 2019-20 school budget on Tuesday.
The $162,357,920 proposed budget was approved by a margin of 1,793-532. The budget is a 3.3 percent increase from the current year's. It's accompanied by a 1.99 percent bump in the tax levy. That is well below the district's 3.45 percent tax levy cap, so the budget only needed to be approved by a majority vote.
School board incumbents Seth Greenberg (1,533) and Susan Stewart (1,131) were re-elected. Tara Rock (1,448) defeated Rebecca Davis (868) and Jared Goerke (857) to gain a seat on the board. Terms are three years.
