Plainview-Old Bethpage School District Announces Ten Commended Students
Students Recognized by National Merit Scholarship Corporation for Performance on PSAT

The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s John F. Kennedy High School recently announced ten members of the Class of 2017 were named Commended Students in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students earned this recognition for placing among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students in the country who entered the 2017 competition by taking the 2015 Preliminary Student Aptitude Test (PSAT.) The students, who received a certificate from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, include: Alec Ash, David Cheng, Joanna Cheng, Jason Getzler, Daniel Gulotta, Brent Hong, Sun Woo Kang, Paul Lee, Maxwell Schulman, and Casey Urban.
