Plainview-Old Bethpage Students Get a Lesson in Technology
New Chromebooks to Enhance Lessons and Promote Digital Literacy
Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s H.B. Mattlin Middle School students recently received Google Chrome Books as part of the school’s science, technology, engineering, arts and math initiative (STEAM). Students had the opportunity to personalize their desktops, begin research for non-fiction books they will be writing and participate in a math workshop on these new Chrome Books. The STEAM initiative was adapted by the school to foster greater understanding and learning in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and math. The Chrome Books were given to students to push their learning into the digital age.
