Plainview, N.Y. – The hallways of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District (POBCSD) are filled once again as staff and students began the 2019-2020 school year. The beginning of the year is always filled with excitement and anticipation for engaging learning experiences, while the District presents an inclusive and welcoming environment.
“The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District is ready to welcome students for another exciting year for both new and returning students alike,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lorna R. Lewis. “All signs point to a year of outstanding experiences for the entire community.”
This school year, the District is focusing on its We Move Mountains initiative, making sure all students feel empowered and motivated throughout the year. The District plans to build on previous successes and activities to make this the best and most positive school year yet.
