Plane Struck By Laser While Flying Over Nassau County
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning. No arrests have been made.

An airplane was struck by a laser while flying over the Plainview/Old Bethpage area early Wednesday morning, according to Nassau Police.
Police received a call at about 12:02 a.m. from the New York Air Route Traffic Control Center about Delta Flight 2294, which was flying westbound at 3,000 feet, four miles northwest of Republic Airport in Farmingdale.
While on its final approach to JFK Airport, the airplane was struck several times by a green laser off the right side. The laser may have come from the Plainview or Old Bethpage area.

The flight continued to JFK without further incident and landed safely.
