POB French Language Students Rank Top 12 in the Nation
Students Earn Medals for Performance on National French Exam

Eighth grade students in Madame Roehrig’s French class at Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School ranked nationally for their scores on the National French Exam. Students Emily Liu and Jaime Levy ranked 3rd and 4th in the nation and will receive gold medals from the American Association of Teachers of French. Kreena Totala ranked 7th and both Selin Baytan and Angad Dev ranked 8th in the nation, earning a silver medal. Student Laura Newman ranked 12th and will receive the bronze medal. The students’ performances are representative of the diligence they have put toward their lessons all year.
