POBJFK High School Moot Court Team Argued Its Way To The Top
They competed against 42 other teams, winning the Nassau County Championship.

PLAINVIEW, NY — It was a winning argument for the Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School's Moot Court Team, earning top honors at the Long Island Mentor Moot Court Tournament in December.
POBJFK's team competed against 42 other teams, winning the Nassau County Championship. The competition was sponsored by the U.S. District Court in Central Islip.
Students presented arguments and answered questions from judges on a hypothetical appellate case focused on Fourth Amendment and Miranda Warning rights in a public school setting.

To represent the team in the championship round, Ariel Klingher and Rishi Sanghvi took the stand, and in the Long Island finals, Lauren Katz and Shane Menikoff presented arguments.

Lauren Katz won the Best Orator award.
