Ralph Macchio in Syosset Wednesday Evening

Some lucky fans will have the chance to see actor and filmmaker Ralph Macchio in Syosset Wednesday.

Macchio is in town for the Long Island High School for the Arts Film Festival. Wednesday’s program includes a private screening of Macchio’s new short film “Across Grace Alley.” And participants will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with him.

Best known for his roles in The Karate Kid movies, My Cousin Vinny and The Outsiders, Macchio’s more recent credits include the movie “Hitchcock,” USA’s ”Psych”, an Independent film titled “A Little Game” and has appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” and “How I Met Your Mother.”

Macchio wrote and directed his latest endeavor, “Across Grace Alley,” The film is about a young boy struggling with his parents’ divorce seeks solace in his infatuation with a captivating woman he discovers through a neighboring window.
