Renowned Composer Writes Piece for JFK Vocal Choirs

The composer conducted the piece he created for the Plainview students at the school's spring concert.

Students in John F. Kennedy High School’s Mixed and Treble Choir performed a piece that was specifically written for them by a highly acclaimed choral composer.

Students performed choral works by composer Dr. Michael John Trotta during the school’s winter and spring concerts.

Trotta even guest conducted “Songs of Presence,” a work that he specifically composed for the students, at the spring concert.

The spring concert featured performances in many languages and styles. The students, who received a standing ovation from the audience, were under the direction of Mr. Adam Paltrowitz.

Trotta visited the choirs during the year and held Skype sessions to give his expert advice and guidance.
