Students Showcase Art Work for Community

The Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s H.B Mattlin Middle School recently held its Art 9 Show to celebrate the creative artwork crafted by eight grade students. The school established its own art advanced placement program for students who have demonstrated progressive artistic abilities.

The students in this program have created a variety of work ranging from still-life drawings to medium-sized sculptures. The young artists captivated fellow students, friends and family that attended the show with their work.
